Adriana G. Martinez graduated Cum Laude with Honors with her Bachelors in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting in 2008 and received her Master’s of Accounting in 2009 both from The University of Arizona; originally from Culiacan, Mexico, Adriana is the daughter of Jesus Martinez and Adriana Ibarra de Martinez.
Upon graduation, Adriana received job offers to work in the corporate world but decided to stay in Tucson and launch a new business from scratch with her family; Adriana’s entrepreneurial spirit took her to found Casa Martinez along with her Father, a Food Company that makes gourmet, artisanal, natural products that bring the beauty and taste of her native Mexico to tables all over the world. A company that started with just a DREAM, a great product and lots of passion.
Adriana and her family were motivated to start Casa Martinez by the fact that they had a truly unique product that was different from all the other products available in the US market and saw a real opportunity. Casa Martinez Salsas, up to this day, are still the only salsas in U.S. retailers that are Premium, Authentic, Crafted with Fresh Vegetables, with a clean label and Made in Mexico.
Casa Martinez has expanded their reach to more than 12,000 stores in the continental US, having presence in all major retailers such as Kroger, Walmart, Albertsons, Costco, Publix, Meijer, and Safeway, as well as in many European countries, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Japan. Casa Martinez is still based in Arizona and Adriana is excited to work with her siblings, Jesus and Olga, in continuing to grow and expand the family’s businesses, and is grateful for her family’s support.
To Adriana, Family is everything. She is happily married to Ernesto Diaz Brown, and they are raising together their three children, Mayra (9), Adriana (6) and Ernesto (1), to be tomorrow’s leaders.
Adriana is proud of being a Latina and Woman entrepreneur, and of her Mexican heritage. Casa Martinez is a certified Women Owned Company by WBENC, where Adriana is an Ambassador for the organization. Adriana also serves in the Eller College of Management National Board of Advisors and served in the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in the Food Industry by The Shelby Report, Top 100 Latinas in the US and Southern Arizona’s 40 under 40. Adriana was recently recognized as the Hispanic Businesswoman of the Year.
