Mark serves as the Chief of Staff for the Technical College System of Georgia. In this role, he leads
initiatives all across the system as it serves over half a million Georgians every year. In his previous roles
with the System, he has served as Assistant Commissioner for Governmental/Legislative Affairs and
Facilities, the agency lead with the TCSG Foundation and the Technical College Directors Association
(TCDA), and as the Executive Director for Secondary Education Initiatives across the system.
He serves the Veteran community as a member of the Advisory Board for The Warrior Alliance and the
Atlanta Recruiting Battalion for the U.S. Army. He is a leader in the charter school and education reform
arenas and has served as Board Chair for the Georgia Charter Schools Association, Executive Director of
the Georgia Charter Schools Commission, CEO of one of Georgia’s College & Career Academies, and is a
current Board Member for the Georgia Cyber Academy. He has extensive entrepreneurial and business-
world experience as both a start-up entrepreneur and a business owner. He is a graduate of Princeton
University, a graduate of Leadership Georgia and Leadership Walton, and a proud 20-year Veteran of the
U.S. Army.
He has three children and one beautiful granddaughter. He and his wife Ginger live in Monroe, GA
