Ángel Cabrera is the 12th president of Georgia Institute of Technology, a leading American research university located in Atlanta, Georgia, with more than 53,000 students and nearly $1.4 billion in annual sponsored research. Since Cabrera’s arrival in 2019, the Institute has been named among the top 20 research institutions in the U.S., enrollment has reached an all-time high, and the undergraduate program has become one of the most selective in the country. Cabrera previously served as president of George Mason University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Cabrera earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in psychology and cognitive science from Georgia Tech, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar. He also holds a B.S. and an M.S. in computer and electrical engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
