Gilberto Atayde is an operations and economic development executive with experience leading transformation across corporate, nonprofit, and community organizations. He currently serves as Vice President of Operations for the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he helps lead organizational strategy, economic development, partnerships, and initiatives supporting hundreds of businesses across North Texas.
Prior to his chamber leadership, Gilberto built his career at UnitedHealth Group (4th largest company in the world by revenue), advancing through sales, service, training, account management, business process roles, and contract implementation. During his tenure, he helped implement more than 80 process improvements, supported the rollout of an AI-driven campaign, and helped ramp up sales and service teams across multiple countries, while also helping oversee multimillion-dollar operational initiatives.
At FWHCC, Gilberto has helped expand an economic development platform that has delivered 300+ business consultations, facilitated more than $4.6 million in contracting opportunities, and developed programs connecting entrepreneurs to capital, procurement opportunities, mentorship, leadership development, and technical assistance.
His work centers on building systems that create opportunity at scale—connecting business, government, education, and community partners to strengthen entrepreneurs, organizations, and the broader North Texas economy.
