Mark Espinoza is Senior Director of Public Affairs at Walmart Inc., where he leads strategic engagement with external stakeholders to advance key business, public affairs, and community priorities.
Since joining Walmart in 2008, Mark has helped shape and execute stakeholder strategies across a broad portfolio of initiatives focused on economic opportunity and community impact. His work includes supporting Walmart’s U.S. manufacturing efforts, small business and supplier growth, veterans initiatives, financial services, and strategic philanthropic and community investments.
Mark plays a key role in Walmart’s Open Call, which creates opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses to pitch U.S.-made, grown, or assembled products directly to Walmart and Sam’s Club merchants. Through Open Call and other initiatives, he brings together business leaders, community organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders to build partnerships that expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and support economic growth.
Prior to Walmart, Mark spent more than 14 years with State Farm Insurance Companies in public affairs and corporate relations leadership roles, including responsibility for community engagement, corporate philanthropy, media, legislative affairs, and communications.
Mark has also contributed his experience to a range of national organizations and corporate advisory groups. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the National Immigration Forum Corporate Roundtable and Chair of the Consumer Action Corporate Advisory Board. His broader engagement has included UnidosUS, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, NeighborWorks®, the Financial Services Roundtable, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), among others.
A native of Texas, Mark lives in Rogers, Arkansas, with his wife and family.
