Lisette Hernandez is a morning news anchor and lifelong Texan. Born and raised in South San Antonio, Lisette earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Sam Houston State University in 2019.

Shortly after graduating, she began her career in San Angelo as the main evening news anchor at KSAN, the area's NBC affiliate. During her two years covering the Concho Valley, Lisette reported on the stories that mattered most to residents while building a strong connection with the community.

In April 2022, Lisette made the move to Texas' capital city, where she continues to bring her energy and authenticity to the anchor desk each morning.

Outside of the newsroom, Lisette enjoys cheering on her favorite Texas sports teams, spending quality time with her family, exploring new restaurants across the state and staying active by trying a variety of workout classes around Austin.
