Matt Gómez is Senior Vice President, Federal Government Relations in Bank of America's Global Public Policy group. He covers Banking, Small Business, and Energy policy prtfolios. He also manages the Bank's engagement with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and is an Advisory Council Member of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute.

From 2018 to 2022, Matt served as Banking Counsel on the House Small Business Committee under Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez, where he oversaw the Committee's financial services and capital access portfolio, including SBA's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), 7(a) Loan Guarantee Program, 504/Certified Development Company (CDC) Loan Program, Microloan Program, Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Program, and Disaster Assistance Program. Prior to joining the Committee, he was a Legislative Assistant in the Chairwoman's personal office, handling Puerto Rico, healthcare, education, technology, telecommunications, and agriculture policy matters.

Matt was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is a proud Cuban American and native Spanish speaker. He holds a B.A. in Public Policy and Latin American Studies from The College of William & Mary, and a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
