Luis A. Rodriguez is a South Texas business leader, entrepreneur, and economic development advocate whose career has been defined by a commitment to helping businesses grow and communities prosper.
Today, he serves as President & CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC), where he leads one of the nation's most historic and influential business organizations. Under his leadership, SAHCC advances initiatives that support small businesses, strengthen workforce development, expand international trade opportunities, and promote inclusive economic growth throughout the region.
Rodriguez's professional journey is unique in that it bridges both the nonprofit and private sectors. Before returning to lead SAHCC, he co-founded and served as CEO of Modern Managed IT, a rapidly growing technology company that secured more than $1 million in venture funding while serving clients across Texas and beyond. His entrepreneurial experience provided firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities facing small and midsized businesses in today's economy.
Prior to launching Modern Managed IT, Rodriguez served as President & CEO of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he championed business growth, strategic partnerships, and economic development initiatives on behalf of a network of more than 20,000 professionals. Earlier in his career, he held multiple leadership positions within SAHCC, including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Economic Development.
Throughout his career, Rodriguez has built a reputation for bringing together business, government, and community leaders to create solutions that expand opportunity and strengthen regional competitiveness. His leadership extends beyond the workplace through service on numerous boards and civic organizations, including serving as Chairman of the American Red Cross of Central and South Texas.
A San Antonio Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree and recipient of the SAHCC Start-Up of the Year Award, Rodriguez remains passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and building pathways to success for the next generation of business leaders.
