Paula Farani is Director of AI Policy at Meta, where she leads global AI policy development and governance efforts. She works with international institutions and cross-sector stakeholders to shape practical approaches to AI governance. Prior to her role at Meta, she was a Commissioner at the Brazilian Competition Authority and received her LLM from Georgetown University. She also brings a strong academic foundation in public policy and international affairs, which informs her work at the intersection of innovation, regulation and accountability.
